It’s rather frightening to be honest and I was especially bothered by how, now that these three ingredients in processed foods have been villain-ised, the marketing of new and “healthier” food alternatives is tricking people into believing that they are eating healthier by hiding the true contents of the food behind healthy sounding and eye-catching labels as fiber! vitamis! low-calorie! all natural! organic! etc. It’s crazy what many of us eat every day and don’t even realize what the food actually consists of. It was a comprehensive view on history of the food industry that explored how and why the industry became to use so much salt, sugar and fat in their processed foods. I read “ Salt Sugar Fat: How the Food Giants Hooked Us” by Michael Moss last week. It’s still a bit difficult to hoop from left to right, but at least it’s not resulting in bruises on my hips any more. I’m getting better at hula hooping both ways now. Warm sandwiches with tomato, smoked sausage, regular cheese and brie cheese steamed beef pelmeni with sour cream He was also driving super recklessly, so by the time we picked up my brother and got to my parents house, I was feeling quite sick and had to lie down and wait for my stomach to stop whirl-winding.

The taxi driver takes a wrong turn, curses loudly and we end up doing a huge circle around the block to get back to the direction we need. I finally get my taxi and we are off to pick up my brother. She looks in to the issue and it turns out that the taxi has been waiting for me in the beginning of the street instead of driving up to my house… I mean, sorry, but where is the logic in that? So I call the taxi company again and the receptionist is baffled that there still is no taxi for me. Also I can’t reach my little brother, because his phone is off. It’s cold outside and I am getting really irritated, because I am by now really late. 8 minutes pass, then 10… 15 minutes and still no taxi. The receptionist lady totally freaked out and said she had accidentally booked the taxi for me for two hours later, but she could get a taxi to come and pick me up in 8 minutes. Since I was by then starting to run late, I called the taxi company to ask about the holdup. Okay, sometimes they can be late due to traffic, so I waited 5 minutes, waited 10 minutes, 15 minutes. I went outside when the time was right, but the taxi was no where. I was supposed to go and pick up my little brother from his ice-skating practice, so I ordered a taxi to come and pick me up at a certain time. I had the worst luck with taxies that day. Two zefirs: one was lemon-ginger flavoured, the other one was supposed to have a different flavour as well, but I couldn’t really tell what it was. Vanilla quark (kohupiim) with vanilla curd I also really liked the end credits song: “Spice” by Tokyo Karan Koron Procrastination to the maximum right now.

Perhaps it could be also described as “MasterChef on crack and viagra.” I really can’t wait for the second season next year xD It was funny, with an interesting plot and cool characters.

Now the funny part is that the show can actually be summarized as “cooks who are cooking food so delicious that people’s clothes fly off their skin when they taste it” xD It has crude humour and imagery verging close to soft-core hentai, BUT it is mostly a show about food competition, food chemistry and… I don’t know. It was about a talented boy joining Japan’s most elite cooking school where only 10 percent of students ever graduate.
I binge watched an anime called “Food Wars!” (or “Shokugeki no Souma” in Japanese).
